Orchestrated response

Have you had that experience of being aware of the details of some small local event and then reading about it in the news and being surprised at how much the reporter got wrong? And then you think, well if the one time when I know the facts through personal experience and the news got it wrong, how can I be sure of the facts in a story where I know nothing first-hand. I’m experiencing that right now with a post at Buckeye State Blog.

Tonight Ohio’s right-wing took a collective stab at BSB, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m just going to address RAB because, well, they orchestrated it.

Later in the post, Columbuser.com is implicated.

Matthews comments are timed rather well with other republican remarks against BSB throughout the Ohio ’sphere. It’s almost as if they’re - nooo - coordinated (gasp).

“Well with” links to me. This is surprising since I am pretty certain that my post on the New Hampshire Project wasn’t coordinated with anybody. In fact, no one has ever mentioned it to me one way or the other. If there is a right-wing Ohio Townhouse, I haven’t been invited.

On the other hand, telling people that our enemies are conspiring against us is probably a good motivator. Maybe that’s the angle.

Brian,

You write about things that interest you, one of those is what other people blog about on their blogs, we all do that at times. If I point out something you’ve blogged about that I think will be of interest to my readers and someone else blogs about it for the same reason…that’s not orchestrated to me, it’s blogging…

Left and Right bloggers blog about what is being said on other blogs, sometimes it reaches a “pile on” or almost “attack mode” but the majority of time it’s just as simple as “so and so wrote this and I think it’s interesting, or so and so wrote this and I disagree because…”

I give Jerid credit for trying something new by going out to New Hampshire but I do agree with you on what you said earlier there is no single set of Ohio positions and BSB does not represent me as an Ohio blogger, in reality they are only representing themselves. I don’t always agree with some of those who post there and I’m sure they don’t always agree with me. I thought the whole Romney thing was silly too but then I have a different idea of what to me is what I’d like to know, and I have a different sense of humor. Doesn’t mean they are wrong and I’m right, none of us are the same. If we were there would really be no reason to blog we’d all just cut and paste what the other wrote and just nod our heads in agreement…
